8th LDS International Art Competition

I look forward to the annual art competition every year. It demonstrates the countless methods one has to bear testimony of what one believes. I am usually drawn to the paintings more than the material pieces, but I LOVED this window. Line upon Line Yvonne Bent
Here are some of the others that I especially appreciated (I have only made it through the "M's" in the list thus far):
Atonement Cassandra Barney

Grafted In Kristal Coles

A Conversation with the Master Nathan Florence

Leaving Sacred Ground Craig Harris

As Sisters in Zion Valentina Olekseeyeevna Museeyenko

Preparing for the Sabbath Mthulisi Ncube

My Peace I Give unto You Steven Newman

More Mia (in case you haven't had enough)

I realize that our blog hails an overabundance of Amelia. Sorry...we like her. Smiley girl: I don't know why this picture is sideways. Proof of my techno-ability, I suppose.

We are basically identical!

"I'm gonna give you a knuckle sandwich."

PEACE out.

1 Month Down...

This whole first month has been a blur, but here we are!

This is the look she gives when she has just woken up. "Seize the Day" pose
Although she's growing quickly, Mia is not too big to still fit nicely in Dad's hands.

AND she can roll over!

Independence Day Weekend

We went to the Reese family lake cabin for the day. The weather was perfect! Mia and Grandpa must have become sleepy from all that sun!

Daddy smooshed his middle finger under a rock while landscaping this week- how convenient for the potential road rage situation. You can't miss it!
Despite some of the criticism it receives, we feel so blessed to live in this beautiful country!

Party Time!

Mia had quite the happening party last Tuesday in Grandma K's backyard. My sister, Jasmine, took some awesome pictures.

Here is Mia with future best-friend, Aaliyah. Aaliyah's mom, Anna, was one of the main facilitators in the adoption. We are forever indebted to her!

Being held by Grandpa Reese- he held on to her most of the time! A few moments with one of the party hostesses, Grandma K.
We received so much support from our friends and family!
