Finalization Day = Relief
Today Mia is officially ours! Although we had the best adoption experience ever, it is nightmarish to imagine her being taken away from us...which she could have been...until TODAY! Mia knew it was a special day. She smiled all morning. In the court room, while I just kept anticipating some dramatic interlude that would keep the judge from saying those final words, David was busy trying to contain his emotion. He didn't do a very good job.

Spokane to Sandpoint Relay
We just finished our first 190 mile relay race this weekend. It was great fun. David was so intense- he ran 18.5 miles and then ran two legs of my 13.2 miles with me! Our team of 12, called "Run for Your Life!," began at 8 am Friday morning and arrived at our destination around 12:30 in the afternoon on Sat. The team took a quick break to ride the Tremors rollercoaster in the middle of the night. It was quite the thrill!
Mia was dressed and ready to accompany us on the run! (gentian violet tongue) Here we are at David's first leg of the race-
I'm all "lit up" for my middle of the night leg. One woman wore a bikini made out of glow sticks. She passed me. I noticed that she shed part of the bikini along the trail. Those "g" strings can be constrictive.
Our whole team at the finish line! I was sooo done at that point...hence my very non-race attire.

Two Months: Lots of Pictures
Big Mia.
Hi, Dad!
I bunddled Mia up while doing laundry in the chilly basement. She just sat contented in the pile for so long! It was funny.Mia always has lots of smiles for Gma K.
